The Tours

You'll be guided by me, Amy Todisco.
I’m a Build Your Best Life Coach, Retreat Leader, and Nationally Recognized Green Living Expert.

What you’ll get on the tour:

Certified Organic Farm. Pluck a pea off the vine as you learn about organic agriculture and the history of Hartshorn Farm, where I live. Taste some fresh kale and chard. Dig a carrot. Find out what some of the weeds beneath your feet can help with.  Pop a sweet cherry tomato into your mouth. Pick some blueberries. Put your hands in the warm soil and plant something. We will enjoy a homemade mostly organic and hydroponic greens filled vegetarian lunch. 

Maple Sugar House. Amy’s organic farmer life partner, Dave, is also a fifth-generation sugar maker.
Check out the maple sugarhouse. Find out how maple syrup was discovered and how the Hartshorn Family has evolved their maple sugar making process over the years. Taste a sample.

Hydroponic Growing. I will be telling the story of our past 10 years’ experience with Green Mountain Harvest Hydroponic (GMH) a commercial greenhouse, and how it’s the farming of the future. (We may be able to peek into the big greenhouse.) We also have a homeowner sized system in order to showcase this wonderful technology. You can watch a video of the large-scale production here. Dave has since sold his shares to that business.

Healing Garden. You too can create your own beautiful and productive veggie, herb and flower garden. Check out my healing garden for inspiration. See which medicinal and culinary herbs are growing among the veggies and flowers and what they can do for you. Discover what else might also be growing in your yard that you can use to heal.

Each tour is customized to meet the needs and interests of the group that shows up, which means each tour/workshop will be slightly different. While the tours are designed for teens and adults, we are kid friendly. We create activities that cater to your child's age. (Amy ran a kid's farm camp for 3 summers too.)

Tours are by reservation only.

Contact me (Amy) to set one up for your group and your time frame. Weekdays are preferred, if possible.

Please be aware that tour dates are somewhat limited as I also run retreats, educational programs, and coaching/mentoring programs during the summer.
There are no tours on Sundays (it’s our one day off each week when there’s not a program.)

If you don’t have the minimum number of adults, it’s sometimes possible to be added to an already booked group’s tour.
Just let me know if that’s your preference.

Tours are offered with or without a fresh, homemade farm to table lunch.

Please note:

Tours with lunch require a 3 adult person minimum or it’s a flat rate.
The 2024 season price is 100/person or a flat rate of 300 for less than 3 adults.

Children 4-8 are 50, ages 3 and under are free.
